Work with us - Administrative Assistant
Trowbridge Town Hall is looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team as an administrative assistant.
Trowbridge Town Hall was opened in 1889, dedicated “for the benefit of the residents of the town for ever”. For the first 80 years of its life, it was the centre of civic and social life in the town, hosting concerts, dancing and celebrations. In the 1970s, it was converted for use as a Magistrate’s Court.
In 2011, having been dormant for a number of years, a group of residents formed a Trust to restore this much-loved building for the people of the town. With a focus on art, heritage and learning, the building has hosted theatre, dance, music and visual art, alongside historic tours, workshops and exhibitions.
The organisation has ambitious plans for a phased development of the building, reimagining the Town Hall as a Civic Space for the 21st Century. This will create a vibrant and vital place for the people of Trowbridge, with social and artistic events, film and live music, freshly-baked bread and locally-brewed beer.
We’re looking for someone with potential and talent to join our small team as this exciting stage in our journey.
