Company: Sheer Music

Sheer Music are extremely proud to be bringing a one off solo show by renowned British cider-folk troubadour GAZ BROOKFIELD to Trowbridge, which is somewhat of a surprise, as Gaz has never played Trowbridge before!

Gaz has toured solo, up and down this country for the past 10 years, notching up over 1000 shows in the process and developing the identity of Land Pirate. Not bad considering Gaz has often spurned the advances of record labels, instead choosing to forge his own musical path. In December 2014, Gaz celebrated his 1000 gig by selling out The Fleece in Bristol, and has notched a further 3 more sell outs year on year, before finally upgrading to the Bristol Bierkeller in 2017.

Performing for Sheer Music, Gaz has admitted they're often the home to some of his best shows, which has included in the past, opening for THE BLOCKHEADS and New Model Army.

Including a countless list of acts he has supported such as Newton Faulkner, Frank Turner, Miles Hunt, Chesney Hawks and many more, not to mention his festival appearances at the likes of Beautiful Days and 2000 Trees, we are once again in the midst of a genuine musical talent, honed from countless hours touring and performing. If you can't find something here to thoroughly enjoy, be it songs about bullying, your home town or being a land pirate, then you're enjoying music wrong!

Support comes from Brighton's gender-neutral singer songwriter Chuck SJ Hay. Chuck actually came to our attention through Gaz, so it's fitting that they get to support him on this show. Chuck plays chunky, gutsy, acoustic bashing style of political and social commentary folk. It's quite something, and over the past 3 years we've seen Chuck develop from coy performer into a ballsy voice box for minorities!

This will be a standing event with limited seating available.

Doors 8pm.

8.30 - 9 - Chuck SJ Hay
