Trowbridge Town Hall Trust is seeking applications for the post of Director of Town Hall Arts to lead the Trust into the next stage of its development and secure the future of Trowbridge’s historic town hall as a centre for arts, culture, heritage and community activities. The Board is looking for someone with a passion for arts, culture, heritage and community. Someone with the vision and drive to take the Trust forward and realise the Board’s aspiration to restore the ballroom to its former glory and establish the building as a vibrant arts, culture, heritage and community hub for the town.

5 hours per week 9.30am-2.30pm National Minimum or Living Wage (Age dependent)
Town Hall Arts is a centre for arts, culture and heritage learning, based at Trowbridge Town Hall, mainly funded by Wiltshire Council and Trowbridge Town Council to deliver a programme of professional performance, visual art, participation and heritage learning. The work of Town Hall Arts includes hosting professional touring theatre and dance, exhibiting visual arts throughout the year, supporting the artists shop and artists café, running a number of performance, visual and literature based workshops, looking after the many people who hire space in the venue, as well as supporting activities out in the community and celebrating the amazing heritage of Town Hall Arts home, Trowbridge’s old Town Hall.


We are currently looking for a part-time Saturday Junior Assistant to help us look after our visitors and to make sure they have an amazing experience when they hire our spaces, use our café, visit our exhibitions and take part in our workshops and classes.
This is a junior role designed to help a young person gain experience in the arts, and could lead to further training, and a widening of responsibilities and more hours for the right applicant. We are particularly interested in hearing from people studying a creative subject eg, art, music, drama, design.

Book Keeper - Job Opportunity

Town Hall Arts is a centre for arts, culture and heritage learning in the centre of Trowbridge. We are funded by Wiltshire Council and Trowbridge Town Council to offer a programme of activity including hosting professional touring theatre and dance, exhibiting visual arts throughout the year, supporting artists’ studios, an artists’ shop, running a bar and café, running a number of performance, visual and literature based workshops, looking after the many people who hire space in the venue, as well as supporting activities out in the community and celebrating the amazing heritage of Town Hall Arts home, Trowbridge’s old Town Hall.

We are currently looking for a Book Keeper who will underpin the business of Town Hall Arts.  Robust systems have been developed over the past 18 months to aid the recording, reporting and financial management of the organisation, however there are still areas that could be developed further.  You will work alongside the Director of Town Hall Arts and support regular reporting the voluntary Finance Director.

The post will be based in Trowbridge Town Hall, the number of days over which the hours are worked are negotiable.

We are currently looking for a part time Duty Manager to help us develop these vital elements of the organisation through marketing, customer service and the promotion of our organisation and spaces in the building.

This role is a very customer-focused one, often working from the Front Desk you will be the first impression many get of Town Hall Arts. You will also look after the various businesses and community groups that hire space in the Town Hall and will occasionally lead on running events. You will be passionate about customer service, business development, and making people feel welcome and appreciated.
